How do I find a percentage of a number?

Divide the percentage by 100, then multiply by the number. For example, 15% of 240 is 0.15 × 240.

Can I use decimals or negative numbers?

Yes. Each mode accepts decimal and negative values. A comparison value of zero cannot be used as a divisor.

How is percentage change calculated?

The difference between the new and starting values is divided by the absolute starting value, then multiplied by 100. A positive result is an increase; a negative result is a decrease.
